On Monday I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Santa Clarita – Jenna Tombline. Jenna will be competing in the Miss California pageant later this year. What a great person we have representing our local community in the pageant.

Portrait Session

In 2009 I photographed Talla and Zsolt’s wedding at the Bel Air Hotel. Talla, a very creative person and photographer herself, recently approached me to photograph some portraits for her. So last week we traveled to the Disney Center in downtown Los Angeles. We spent about an hour exploring the Disney Center and it’s surrounding area. Although we didn’t have much time, we were able to capture some awesome images. I love the images with Talla’s hat! Enjoy.

The Mandel Five!

I am planning on adding portraits to my offerings in 2011. To help with my portfolio I recruited fellow photographer Mitzi Mandel’s family today. We headed out to a local park to capture some images of her kids and family. It was a blast and I did such a good job – her kids presented me with my first candy cane of the season.

The rabbit is an inside joke – you will have to email for an explanation.

Claire – Future Movie Star

My good friend Tammy asked me to photograph her little baby Claire this morning. See – Claire told her mom that she wants to be a movie actress. She definitely has the looks and personality.

Now if you were to ask my wife about me and photographing kids – she would laugh. I think it has something to do with me taking photos of my granddaughters. It’s a patience thing. Well all I can say is little Claire was a perfect model – just sat there and had her pictures taken. She made it so easy.

I hope Claire remembers the little people (like her photographer) when she makes it big in the movie biz.

Family Engagement Session – Placerita Canyon

Yesterday morning I meet up with Angela and Josh along with their two boys for a family engagement session. We hiked the trails in Placerita Canyon Park. My favorite part of the day was their youngest son, Gavin, who had a knack for identifying awesome locations for photos. I think I may have to hire him real soon or face him as competition in the near future.

Angela and Josh are getting married in two weeks and I can’t wait for their big day. I think I will use Gavin as an assistant.

CJ Headshots

One of my best friend’s sons, CJ, recently graduated with a degree in musical theatrical performance. CJ is off to live in the “The Big Apple” in October (lucky him). I hope to see him headlining on Broadway real soon. CJ recently asked me if we could hang out and take some head-shots.It had been a while since I had seen CJ, so in between catching up on things we actually got to take a couple of photographs.
